Adoption Process

1.APPLICATION - If you are interested in a Fuzzy Rescue animal, you will be asked to complete an application form. Please fill out an online application here (DOG Application / CAT Application).
2.MEET AND GREET - Upon initial approval of your application, you will be contacted (via phone or e-mail) to be scheduled for a "meet and greet" with the animal at one of our adoption locations, and an orientation session with one of our adoptions counselors.
3.SELECTION PROCESS - Selection is based on compatibility, as determined by Fuzzy Rescue. A professional evaluation will be conducted by Fuzzy Rescue with the best interests of you and the pet in mind. There may be multiple candidates deserving consideration and adoptions are at the sole discretion of Fuzzy Rescue. We want the best for everyone!
4.HOME CHECK - There may be a home-check required to evaluate what type of home the individual or family is offering to provide to the pet. Along with compatibility, we assess the location for safety and security.
5.CONTRACT & FEE - If you've been selected you will then sign a legally-binding contract with Fuzzy Dog and Cat Rescue, Inc., and to pay an adoption/donation fee to help defray costs of spay/neuter, shots, de-worming, de-fleeing, and fecal examination.
6.REQUIREMENTS FULFILLED - Once requirements are fulfilled, the animal will be released to you.
7.RETURN PET TO FUZZY RESCUE IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO KEEP HIM/HER - Please Note: If for any reason you are unable to keep or provide adequate care for the animal, we require that you return him/her to Fuzzy Dog and Cat Rescue, Inc. Our animals are NOT to be transferred, sold, or given to a third-party. No exceptions.
