Name: Capone Status: On Hold (email for current status) Age: 2 Years Sex: Male Breed: Rottweiler/Shepherd Mix Personality: Capone is one sweet-loving powerhouse. He was once owned by a young kid who raised him outside of his balcony ever since he was a baby. When his father saw that Capone was growing into a large breed dog, he wanted the dog out. It was arranged for Capone to be used as a guard dog at an auto shop. The owners were also thinking of taking Capone to a shelter as a back-up plan. When the owners got desperate, they decided to send Capone to a high-kill shelter. We intervened and rescued Capone before his time was up. Now, Capone is waiting for his very own family to adopt him. Capone is great with adults and kids, and enjoys giving kisses. Capone loves to run in a spacious yard. He would benefit from obedience training since he was always tied up outside in his previous "home" and hardly given much attention. Capone has never shown any signs of aggression. Name: Lucky Status: On Hold (email for current status) Age: 2 Years Sex: Female Breed: Basenji/Shepherd Mix Personality: LUCKY’s name says it all… She was rescued off the streets by a kind gentleman who saw LUCKY completely lost and scared. She is only a year old, and she is wonderful with people and animals. She is patiently awaiting adoption at Fuzzy Rescue. LUCKY is extremely affectionate (although shy in the beginning). She will follow you everywhere and cuddle with you anytime. LUCKY can be active during playtime and mellow during bedtime. She will warm just about anyone’s heart. Name: Oliver Dean Status: On Hold (email for current status) Age: 2 Years Sex: Male Breed: Boxer/Terrier Mix Personality: Look at Oliver's regal composure... Oliver and his sister Norma were tossed away at a local animal shelter. His owners forgot to spay/neuter the parents, and they realized they could not afford the puppies. Oliver is a 6-month old, sweet cuddle-bug who deserves a loving home. He is very attached to his sister Norma, but they do not have to be adopted as a pair. Oliver is great with other dogs and people, but like any other doggy, he must be put through obedience training and socialization; training classes would also help correct his "greediness" for food. Norma and her brother Oliver were tossed away at a local animal shelter. Her owners forgot to spay/neuter the parents, and they realized they could not afford the puppies. Name: Rosie Status: On Hold (email for current status) Age: 2 Years Sex: Female Breed: Terrier Mix Personality: Meet Rosie! This darling girl was found with a huge gash on her hind leg. Several Good Samaritans pooled together money to treat her, and bring her to our care. At only 2 years of age, this little girl is looking for a home of her own. A family who could walk, run her daily, and give her undivided attention would be ideal. She LOVES other dogs and people-- such a trooper and a lovebug! Name: Spencer Status: Available Age: 3 Years Sex: Male Breed: Pit Mix Personality: Spencer is about 3 years of age, EXTREMELY bonded to people, and just an all around affectionate prince. He is unbelievably intelligent and playful. Spencer was rescued from a horrible hoarding case, where an elderly man had kept him caged up in an empty home with not much food and water; this man is now incarcerated. Spencer has put behind his past and is now looking for a forever home. He is a very strong boy and would do best in a home with bully-saavy owners.  He is so beautiful with a shiny black coat with white boots.  Just an active boy and a snuggle-bunny. Name: Petra Status: Available Age: 3-4 Years Sex: Female Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Personality: Petra is about 3-4 years of age, EXTREMELY bonded to people, and just an all around mellow princess.  Her eyes really can tell us a sad story.  Petra was rescued from a horrible hoarding case, where an elderly man had kept her caged up in an empty home with not much food and water; this man is now incarcerated. She was also bred multiple times and her puppies were most likely sold by the hoarder for profit.  Petra has put behind her past and is now looking for a forever home. She is good on the leash and terrific around others.  She may be shy at times, and may do best in a home where she can get a lot of love and attention.  Will you take her home? He is unbelievably intelligent and well-behaved. Max was rescued from a horrible hoarding case, where an elderly man had kept him in an empty home with not much food and water; this man is now incarcerated. Max has put behind his past and is now looking for a forever home. He is WONDERFUL on the leash.  Just a gentle lover andsnuggle-bunny. He would do well with another animal, though sometimes protective of his play mates and his caregivers, but he has passed the trainer's temperament test with FLYING COLORS.  He is a dominant male.  Will you take him home? Name: Tommy Status: Available Age: 1 Year Sex: Male Breed: Shepherd/Pit Mix Personality: Tommy was rescued near an empty home and his owners were nowhere to be found.  In fact, he had been tied up to a pole with no food and water.  He was skin and bones, and just desperate for an angel to rescue him.  Riverside Animal Control took him in, and he was bailed out by a rescue organization shortly afterwards.  Tommy has a sweet disposition-- full of doggy kisses.  He does not mind other doggies and does excellent in the car!  While he has never been tested around kitties, Tommy is highly intelligent and can be trained so easily.  He is fairly small in size.  Will you be his forever owner? Name: Lana Status: Available Age: 2 Years Sex: Female Breed: Shepherd Mix Personality: Lana has a very sad story to share. She was owned by a homeless man as a puppy, and later dumped at a local vet's office when Lana's person could no longer afford pet food and supplies. Lana is an affectionate girl who would do superb in a home with mature adults. She is great in the car, enjoys cuddling with people, and does just fine on the leash. Name: Kaeda Status: Available Age: 4 Years Sex: Female Breed: Pit Bull Mix Personality: Kaeda came from a very sad hoarding situation- an elderly man kept Kaeda in a tiny cage for most of her life, and he ended up in jail due to city code violations.  Fuzzy Rescue came to pull her out of deplorable living conditions.  Kaeda is a precious little Pitty girl with a personality full of love and kisses. She is currently 4 years of age.  Kaeda has a clean bill of health despite a lip that dangles from an previous dog-bite injury that occurred while she lived with the hoarder.  She weighs only 45 pounds, and walks terrific on leash.  Kaeda is loving towards all people. Name: Jack Status: Available Age: 1 Year Sex: Male Breed: Poodle and West Highland Terrier Mix Personality: Jack is a very special little boy.  He was hit by a car when he lived with a family.  His family was unable and unwilling to pay for his veterinary care so instead of taking Jack to the hospital after this accident, they wrapped him up in blankets and fed him chicken noodle soup for a month.  When the family realized that he was also incontinent, they dropped off Jack to Fuzzy Rescue.  Jack came to us filled with worms and was raw all over his body due to infections from being wrapped up in blankets for too long.     Jack is full of love and life.  He absolutely adores all people and animals.  He is playful like a puppy and extremely sweet.  The orthopedic specialist has informed us that Jack has permanent spinal cord damage, and that he is paralyzed from waist-down.  He is also incontinent.  He will need a cart to help with his mobility, but even now this sweetpea is VERY active!  He loves to play with toys and dogs.  He does not even know he is paralyzed and incontinent.  Jack’s doctors and the staff at Fuzzy Rescue are all convinced that Jack will be able to live a quality, happy life with responsible owners.  Adopt Jack!Dog_Application.htmlshapeimage_20_link_0
