Donations/Volunteers Needed
Tuesday, March 31, 2009
Dear Friends,
We are in much need of help—either donations to help our rescue efforts, or rescue organizations to help take in animals. As you know, in February of 2009, Fuzzy Rescue saved +100 pigeons and a couple dozen dogs (including a handful of Pit Bulls) that were left
abandoned by an elderly man who
had been hoarding animals and junk
in his Walnut and Riverside properties.
This elderly man had been
incarcerated for a brief time and his
family contacted Fuzzy Rescue for
assistance in rescuing all of his
pigeons and dogs. Pigeons were
living in filth and squalor, and the dogs
were caged up in tiny runs surrounded
by feces and rotten cat food. All of
these pets were saved; most of these pets have already been placed into loving, permanent homes thanks to the courageous support of other rescue organizations.
If you are part of a rescue organization,
please consider taking on one or two
dogs that were rescued from the above
hoarding scenes. Most of these dogs
are incredibly sweet. If you are
interested in donating, we could
certainly use the money to pay for their
spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations,
commit to boarding them at a facility
until they find a home, purchase food
and necessary supplies for these animals, establish a fund for their rescue and rehabilitation, etc. At this time every penny counts to save their lives.
Please visit our Contact page for more details on how you can get involved!
Thank you,
Sheila Choi
