Scooby-Roo’s New Year Update
Dear Animal-Loving Friends,
Happy New Year! Scooby-Roo celebrated his very first Christmas in his foster home, surrounded by one cat and four other dogs, and plenty of toys and TLC. He is adjusting well to his new set of wheels that were custom-built for him by Eddie’s Wheels. Each day we give him at least one to two hours of “cart” practice. He eats like a champ, plays like a cheerful puppy, and is affectionate to all. Scooby-Roo’s favorite toy involves fluff (A LOT of it!) and a squeaker that he manages to pull out from all of his toys. He has a pet stroller that he hops in for longer walks throughout the day. He sleeps on the bed underneath the bedcovers, and will fly up three flight of stairs and can leap onto all pieces of furniture at home.
Scooby-Roo is truly amazing. Everywhere he goes, Scooby-Roo exudes such positive energy. People are always interested in his rescue story and amazed by his strength and strong-will to have come this far. We hope to share with many more people his inspirational journey. Through Scooby-Roo we want to shed awareness on the millions of other homeless dogs and cats in our nation. There are also so many loving, precious, special-needs pets in local shelters awaiting a special home like Scooby-Roo. While we cannot instantaneously eliminate this pet overpopulation problem, we can work towards this goal one step at a time. By educating others about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spay and neuter, we can make a difference!
